He holds a Law degree and a master's degree in Business Administration from Universidad de las Américas. He earned a doctorate in Innovation and Social Responsibility from Universidad Anáhuac México Norte and has pursued studies in corporate and commercial law at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

He is a founding partner of Zozaya e Ibáñez, S.C., where he leads the compliance and social responsibility practice. He has worked with medium-sized and large companies on sustainability reporting and obtaining Mexico's Socially Responsible Company distinction. He teaches and has delivered courses on human rights and the governance of socially responsible organizations.

He has extensive experience in regulatory compliance, transparency, access to information, personal data protection, and accountability. He has authored articles, served on graduate examination committees, and advised master's applied projects and doctoral research on gender equity, digital ethics, sustainability reporting standards, and communication.
